About me

I am Dóra Tardi, a Hungarian illustrator and graphic designer working under the name "doartress". I have loved drawing ever since I first picked up a pencil as a child. I work both digitally and traditionally, focusing on heartfelt visual storytelling with a special fondness for depicting children, animals and warm, cozy atmospheres. 

I enjoy illustrating expressive characters and scenes that spark curiosity and evoke emotion, aiming to connect with both children and adults on an imaginative level.

My illustrations have been featured in two volumes of a non-profit children’s book alongside other emerging talents in 2023 and 2025. I was also honored to have my illustrated book spreads shortlisted in the 2024 Aranyvackor Illustration Competition. 

Currently, I am building my creative business with the goal of illustrating complete children’s books and developing my own line of art merchandise, including illustrated prints, stickers, and other small-batch handmade items. 

Besides drawing, I enjoy gardening, swimming and spending time with my family and cats — all of which continually inspire my illustrations.
